Hauwa Yakubu is an analytically minded foreign trade-finance specialist with 21 years of professional experience across retail banking, corporate banking and unit banking. She has experience in international trade finance, import and export activities, trade-finance portfolios and instruments, including letters of credit (LCs), standby letters of credit (SBLCs), bank guarantees (BGs), proof of funds (POF), bank comfort letters (BCLs), advance payment guarantees (APGs) and ready, willing and able (RWA) documentation. She is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Finance & Control of Nigeria (FCIFCON), a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria (FCILM), a Fellow member of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM), a Global Fellow of Alhuda Center for Islamic Banking and Economics, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
